Web Site Filtering In order to protect the rights of its employees, patients and visitors, Crouse Hospital makes a good faith effort to filter and block internet content that may not be appropriate for viewing by all audiences. We also reserve the right to block content that we determine may pose a security threat to our computing infrastructure.
Our filtering methodology is highly effective. However, due to the internet's technical complexity and ever-changing structure; it is possible that unwanted web content may be allowed to pass through the filter. Crouse Hospital is not responsible for internet content delivered by this Service. Additionally, adults should always play an active role in monitoring the internet activities of minors.
Privacy As with most public wireless hot-spots, data traveling between your system and the wireless access point is not encrypted and is possibly subject to interception by an unscrupulous party. SSL or secure connections will ensure privacy for confidential transactions. You are responsible to verify that websites you visit for confidential transactions are protected using a SSL.
For security purposes, Crouse Hospital has the ability to monitor and log internet activity on this wireless network Service. As a practice, the Hospital does not regularly monitor activity. However, we reserve the right to monitor and log internet activity as required to ensure the integrity of our network. Such monitoring may occur at any time, without notice, and without the user's knowledge or consent. If monitored, Crouse Hospital will treat all internet activity as confidential and will not release this information to any third parties with the exception of official law enforcement agencies. It is the Hospital's policy to cooperate with officials regarding criminal investigations.
