Crouse Hospital Auxiliary

Made up of more than 500 members, the Crouse Hospital Auxiliary is an all-volunteer organization whose sole mission is to raise money for the hospital. Member dues fund all operating expenses, with nearly 100 percent of fundraising dollars contributed to the hospital.

Auxiliary members have donated millions of dollars since 1888 to fund hospital equipment, programs and services. Monies generated to support the hospital come from gift shop revenue and from a variety of special events held throughout the year, such as the annual Lights of Love campaign, CNY Girl, a holiday drawing, book and clothing sales. Income is also generated from vending machine sales, baby photos and TV/phone rentals.

Ongoing commitments in support of the hospital also include the funding of numerous scholarships to nursing students and the complete underwriting of Crouse Hospital’s popular Visit to Hospital Land, a unique community service program designed to give area first-graders a hands-on experience of what a hospital stay is like.
