Crouse Health Foundation’s 11th annual Crouse Classic Golf Tournament was held Monday, July 16, 2012, at the beautiful and challenging Bellevue Country Club, Syracuse. Both morning and afternoon shotgun starts were offered in a Captain and Crew format. The day concluded with a reception, dinner and awards presentation.
Once again, the tournament was sold out with a record 224 golfers and with a record net proceeds of $106,000. Proceeds from the 2012 Crouse Classic Golf Tournament will be used to support the work of the Baker Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Crouse Hospital’s Kienzle Family Maternity Center. Last year 900 infants were cared for in our Baker Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a New York State designated Level IV facility caring for the highest risk and most complicated NICU patients in the fifteen-county region it serves. We are purchasing two Giraffe® OmniBeds, which are neonatal incubators designed specifically for temperature regulation and the reduction of environmental stimuli for the neonate. The Giraffe® OmniBed provides the baby with humidified radiant heat while sustaining critical temperatures and the design provides optimal accessibility for caregivers during therapeutic procedures.
