Crouse Health Foundation was the grateful recipient of more than $22,800 from the 2014 SADA Charity Preview, an annual event held in conjunction with the Syracuse Auto Dealers Association’s auto show at The Oncenter. SADA Charity Preview Chair Gino Barbuto of East Syracuse Chevrolet presented the donation to Phyllis Devlin (left) and Kate Jwaskiewicz during the recent annual SADA Charity Preview check distribution luncheon.
More than $240,000 was raised at this year’s SADA Charity Preview benefitting fourteen local charitable organizations. In the sixteen year history of the event, over $2.5 million has been donated to charitable causes supporting Central New York children and families. As guests mingled among the newest vehicles, they were treated to great food, drinks and musical entertainment. Held the night before the Auto Show opened to the public, attendees leisurely viewed all the latest models Central New York auto dealers have to offer.
Net proceeds from this year’s SADA Charity Preview will be used to advance the capacity of Crouse Hospital’s Institute for Robotic Surgery. Crouse is the region’s leader in robotic surgery and the only hospital in Syracuse offering the “single site” option for selected surgeries. The purchase of specialized equipment will increase Crouse’s ability to meet patient demand for these surgeries.
Crouse Health Foundation was the 4th highest charity recipient of the 14 participating charities. We are most grateful to the many 2014 SADA Charity Preview sponsors, ticket purchasers and donors who designated Crouse as beneficiary of their support.
Additionally, SADA Charity Preview proceeds will provide support for the Crouse Hospital College of Nursing, now in its 100th year of educating nurses.
