Crouse Asks Volunteers to Stay Safe

02/01/11

Sr Volunteer with Patient - News SizeWINTER STORM WARNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY, FEB. 2 AT 10 P.M.

Crouse Asks Volunteers to Play it Safe and Stay Home

In rain, sleet, snow or hail, Crouse volunteers do not fail! They are extremely dedicated, caring beyond measure and totally committed to supporting Crouse physicians and staff to fulfill our mission of providing the best in patient care. Each and every day, they dot our corridors, donned in their teal aprons and warm smiles, ready to help in any way they can.

They will do whatever it takes to come in to volunteer even at the risk of their own safety. Due to tomorrow’s inclement weather forecast, our Volunteer Services Department has decided it’s in the best interest of our volunteers to recommend they stay home tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 2.

“We realize this may place an extra burden on some departments that truly depend on the volunteers, but their health and safety comes first," says Pennie Stagnitta, Volunteer Services Manager.

A big thank you to all of our Crouse volunteers — no matter what the weather!
