There’s no better prescription for the dog days of summer than a night out with great friends, delicious food and shopping till you drop. On Tuesday, August 2 from 5 to 9 p.m., the Crouse Hospital Auxiliary will host “Retail Therapy” at Justin’s Tuscan Grill, off Carrier Circle, in East Syracuse.
In addition to bountiful food stations and cash bar, “Retail Therapy” will feature an eclectic mix of regional artisans offering jewelry, sculpture, metal works, basket weaving, glassware and more. Special guest will be Linda Hafner, of Chuck Hafner’s Farmers Market and Garden Center, who will have Simple, Fresh & Healthy: A Collection of Seasonal Recipes, her new cookbook with Denise Owen Harrigan, available for purchase and book signing.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Crouse Hospital Auxiliary, which supports the mission of the hospital through its generous donations funding programs and services. Retail Therapy presents three opportunities to exhibit exactly what kind of shopper you are: a Browser ($30, includes admission and food); $50 Buyer (includes admission, food, one drink ticket and one raffle drawing ticket); or a Shopaholic ($100, includes admission, food, one drink ticket and one raffle drawing ticket); one raffle drawing ticket for a set of diamond earrings and sponsor recognition).
