On Saturday, Feb. 23, the Crouse Hospital College of Nursing invites you to dance the night away at Latin Dance Night. Learn how to dance salsa, cha-cha, rumba, samba and bachata at Downtown Dance Studio located at 300 West Genesee St. from 7 to 9 p.m.
Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the door. Advance tickets are available in the College of Nursing Office or by calling 315/470-7481. Proceeds from the event will benefit the college’s medical mission to Guatemala in June.
In March 2012, the College of Nursing launched its Global Health Initiative. Last June, undergraduate nursing students and faculty traveled to Guatemala to expand their understanding of international healthcare issues as they relate to nursing through a cross-cultural healthcare immersion experience. Over the course of 10 days, students visited various clinics around the country. This summer, students will return to Guatemala and partner with local healthcare providers in a clinic setting to provide supervised community and primary healthcare within local context and conditions.
