This letter to the editor appeared in the Saturday, March 2, 2013 edition of the Post-Standard. Mr. Freeman thanks not just our nursing and clinical staff, but also numerous other departments and services that each played a role in making his Crouse experience a positive, memorable one.
To The Editor:
I was a patient at Crouse Hospital on 5 South from Jan. 8 to Feb. 13. The care I received from the nurses and student nurses while there can only be described as excellent. The entire staff's professional, caring and cheerful attitudes helped me make it through a very difficult period and a very long stay.
While there, I was also treated in ER, respiratory therapy, X-ray department, catheterization lab and two operating rooms. They all provided the same professional and cheerful care. In fact, everyone, including the patient ambulator, food service, housekeeping, patient transport, maintenance employees and valet parking, also provided the same professional and cheerful care.
I especially want to thank my nurse practitioner, Ellen LaRusso, for her care, patience, and willingness to explain all procedures to my wife and I. She was also very professional and cheerful at all times.
Crouse Hospital can be very proud of their hospital and its people. I'm sure better care cannot be found anywhere. Thank you to all who had a hand in my recovery.
Dave and Nancy Freeman
