Naven Duggal, MD, has joined Crouse Hospital’s Orthopedic Care Service. Treating all types of adult and adolescent foot and ankle injuries, as well as the correction of deformities involving the foot, ankle and knee, Dr. Duggal currently practices with Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists (S0S).
Prior to joining SOS, Dr. Duggal was Chief of the Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery Service at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
Dr. Duggal, board certified in orthopaedic surgery, received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario; completed fellowships in orthopedic surgery at Sydney Orthopaedic Arthritis & Sports Medicine in Sydney, Australia; and foot and ankle surgery at St. Michaels, University of Toronto. He completed his residency at the London Health Science Centre, University of Western Ontario.
Dr. Duggal specializes in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, arthroscopic procedures and the treatment of fractures. Dr. Duggal has a particular interest in the nonoperative and operative treatment of bunions and toe problems, flat foot deformity, ankle injuries in athletes, and the correction of knee, ankle and foot deformities to prevent degeneration and arthritis.
In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Duggal has extensive academic experience researching biomechanics at the Center for Advanced Orthopedic Studies, Harvard Medical School, and serving as teaching faculty in the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Training Program since 2005.
He is a member of the editorial board for the journal, Techniques in Foot and Ankle Surgery, and the journal, Orthopedics.
