Crouse Hospital will host a free heart health screening Tuesday, Aug. 26, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Kinney Drugs Hall of Health at the New York State Fair. No appointment is necessary.
Each evaluation includes readings for total cholesterol and glucose levels, as well as a blood pressure reading and a personal risk profile. No fasting is required, and results are received in approximately 15 minutes and are reviewed with a Crouse hospital healthcare provider. A copy of the results can be sent to primary healthcare providers upon request.
Heart disease affects more than 80 million Americans, and is the number one killer of men and women. Crouse Hospital encourages individuals to learn their risk for heart disease to help fight this highly treatable disease.
