WHAT:
Competed in the Chase Corporate Challenge Championship 3.5 mile -- 5.7 km road race sponsored by Chase. Cynthia Lynch placed sixth (20:33) of 436 runners in the women’s division. Race occurred October, 4, 1997. A broadcast of the race will air on ESPN’s Road Race of the month Tuesday, Oct. 21, 3:30 p.m. EST and Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1 a.m. EST.

HOW/WHY:
Crouse Health’s women’s team (Cynthia Lynch, Kathleen Iacuone and
Lisa Susko*) placed first at the local race on Aug. 5, qualifying
for the championship. At the local level Crouse Health also won
an award for having the largest corporate team overall -- 214
members.
This year’s local victory is the second consecutive first place win
for the Crouse Health women’s team. Last year’s winning female
running team -- Cynthia Lynch, Lisa Susko and Rachel Elder, MD
(annual Crouse Health team captain) -- also went to New York for
the championship race and placed an award-winning eighth.
*Lisa Susko was unable to attend the Championship race, Maggie Knapp completed the team.
