(HealthDay News) -- For the first few months, newborns need
sustenance from either breast milk or formula.
Since breast milk contains disease-fighting antibodies, the
womenshealth.gov Web site says breast-feeding may help reduce the
risk of these health problems in babies:
- Ear infections.
- Stomach viruses.
- The skin condition atopic dermatitis.
- Childhood leukemia.
