Doctors Speak Out on Health Care Waste in U.S.
The basic assumption in
U.S. health care that more is better is being challenged by a group
of doctors who put the cost of unnecessary care at as much as $800
billion a year, according to a new report.
Stem Cell Transplant May Spur Heart Disease Risk: Study
People who undergo the
transplantation of stem cells taken from bone marrow, circulating
blood or umbilical cord blood are more likely to develop risk
factors for heart disease, such as high blood pressure, diabetes
and high cholesterol, a new study contends.
