(HealthDay News) -- The way you prepare food can go a long way
toward cutting the amounts of fat and calories in your diet.
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics offers these fat-trimming
- Use a skimmer to remove the fat from the top of stews and
- Skip French fries and bake potatoes in the oven instead.
- Swap proportions of healthy vs. high-fat foods. For example,
instead of a big bowl of ice cream topped with a little fruit, opt
for a big bowl of fruit topped with a little ice cream.
