“If wrinkles must be written upon our brows, let them not be written upon the heart. The spirit should never grow old.” - John Kenneth Galbraith
Respect and empowerment are at the heart of our philosophy for caring for adult patients with complex needs. The mission of Crouse Hospital's Aging and Complex Care Services is to ensure that our patients receive care based on best practices and the most up-to-date advances in medicine for aging adults with chronic care needs.
Crouse is the only hospital in Central New York to hold NICHE (Nurses Improving the Care of Healthsystem Elders) classification. This means our specialized staff receives ongoing education about the latest in senior medicine and clinical practices. We're also proud to be one of just six U.S. hospitals invited to participate in the ground-breaking Medicare Innovations Collaborative national research project, dedicated to improving care for adults with complex care needs.
