While family, friends, neighbors and colleagues can provide support and encouragement, there’s nothing like being able to share with others who’ve been diagnosed with and treated for breast cancer. Empathy can go a long way.
That’s why Crouse Hospital is now offering the area’s only ongoing monthly breast cancer support group — so women who have gone through the breast cancer experience can interact while staying active and informed. The first 30 minutes of the meetings will be devoted to an appropriate exercise, which will differ each month and can be enjoyed by women at any level of physical fitness. Sessions will also include speakers on topics recommended by the members of the Pink Therapy Breast Cancer Support Group.
