ADULTS
- Day Treatment Rehabilitation Program
- This program is for adults age 18 and older and targets those who have problems abstaining from chemical use. Group and individual counseling is offered along with activity therapy, vocational exploration, leisure skills education and chemical dependency education.
Sessions meet for six hours Monday through Friday. As patients near completion of the program, they meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This allows them to pursue vocational or educational plans on Tuesday and Thursday. Our goal is to assist patients in their return to a sober, productive lifestyle.
Individuals who have structured evening activities such as employment or continuing education can enroll for a three-day schedule.
Lunch is provided, and as with all our programs, self-help group participation in Alcoholics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous and/or Narcotics Anonymous is expected.
Upon completion of the program, patients are often referred to an aftercare group and are strongly encouraged to maintain self-help group involvement.
- Evening Treatment Program
- This is an intensive outpatient experience designed for chemically dependent patients who work, are in school during the day, or who are primary caretakers of young children and/or parents. The program meets three times weekly for three hours and dinner is provided. Individual treatment, group therapy, education and participation in self-help groups is required to help reinforce the treatment and rehabilitation process. Services are offered at 410 South Crouse Avenue and the Commonwealth Place.
- ADOLESCENTS
- Our outpatient adolescent program serves young people between the ages of 13 and 18 who are chemically dependent and is staffed by specialists in adolescent chemical dependency and development.
Both group and individual therapy is provided and participation in self-help groups is required. Aftercare services reinforce the young person's commitment to a chemical-free life.
Group and individual counseling and support, expressive therapy, chemical dependency education, development of sober living skills and stepwork are also part of the treatment program.
Treatment costs are covered by most private health insurance companies and by Medicaid. A sliding-fee schedule for those without insurance coverage is available.
