Health Insurance
All students are required to have health insurance in order to attend school.
Crouse Hospital School of Nursing provides all matriculated students with a very basic accidental injury
only benefits plan that provides up to $2,000 of payment after a $10 deductible.* This plan is secondary to
other coverage but will pay deductibles and co-payments/co-insurance not covered by the primary plan.
The school provides basic non-emergency medical service in the Student/Employee Health Office. That service
is not health insurance and does not provide for or pay for lab tests, x-rays or outside services with other
medical providers. When students are referred from the Health Office to another provider, health insurance
is needed to cover expenses for the services that provider administers.
Crouse Hospital School of Nursing offers health insurance for those who are without coverage. The plan
provides for a basic sickness benefit and supplemental coverage for the accidental injury only benefit
described above. (HIPPA link) Specific information about premiums and covered services is available from
the Admissions Office.
