Dormitory

Women reside in the Crouse Hospital School of Nursing residence hall located on the fourth floor of the Marley Education Center. The residence hall is complete with modern amenities, including kitchen, laundry, study and gathering areas. Its convenient location means you never have to leave the building - or go out in the snow - to get to classes. The residence hall is a well secured living area with hospital security available 24 hours a day.

By arrangement, men reside at the nearby SUNY Upstate Medical University. Male students interested in residence hall arrangements should contact the SUNY office of student life at (315) 464-4234.

All students receive membership to the SUNY Campus Activities Center complete with exercise equipment, gym, pool, sauna, tennis and squash courts and more.

What does it cost?

Crouse Hospital Residence Hall Fees

  • Room Deposit $ 100
  • Double Room $ 1,500 per semester
  • Single Room $ 1,750 per semester (if available)
  • Key & Access Card $ 20 (refundable fee)
  • Room Furnishings

Student rooms are furnished with closets, beds, dressers, mirrors, desks and chairs.

    Kitchen Facilities

All appliances to be used in the residence hall are provided by the school of nursing: refrigerator, freezer, microwave ovens, electric frying pan, toasters and a popcorn maker. Students are allowed to bring dormitory-size refrigerators, no larger than 2 cubic feet.

    Hospital Cafeteria

Students are welcome to purchase meals in the hospital cafeteria in the basement of the Memorial Unit. A discount of 25% is available when students present their ID at the register.

    Laundry

Coin-operated laundry facilities are available within the residence hall.

    Roommate Assignments

All incoming students are assigned a roommate their first year. Single rooms may be available in their second year, if space is available.

    Parking

Parking policies are established and administered by the hospital’s security department. Because parking is severely limited in the hospital/university area, parking policies are strictly enforced. For this reason, overnight parking is not provided for residents because of the space limitation. Daytime parking is available at Manley Field House.
