University Environment

Students still find time to enjoy the rich, culturally diverse university environment offered by Syracuse University and SUNY Upstate Medical University. A bustling student shopping center is only a block away featuring: boutiques, novelty shops, a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and evening entertainment. Many times, Crouse nursing students participate in social activities on "the Hill" and interact with students from other campuses, including Syracuse University students.

Campus Activities Building (CAB)

All Crouse Hospital nursing students enjoy privileges at the SUNY Upstate Medical University Campus Activities Building, a hub of student recreational activity for the SUNY and Crouse campuses. Facilities include a gym, pool, sauna, exercise equipment, tennis courts, squash courts, pool tables, pinball machines, TV lounge, bookstore and coffee shops.

NSNA

Our school sponsors a local chapter of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) .  These students organize charity fundraising activities and participate in local volunteer work. The Syracuse Area Black Nurses Association (SABNA) coordinates activities for minority students, under the direction of a faculty advisor.

The AIDS Quilt

Overall, community service is a popular activity at Crouse. A large number of our students are involved in volunteer activities, both on and off campus.
