Transport Volunteer
My Background
I’m originally from Taiwan, and graduated from Purdue University with a degree in biochemistry. I’m in Syracuse while I transition into medical school. I volunteer every day of the week, and even come in on weekend afternoons.

When did you start volunteering at Crouse?

Why did you select Crouse as a place to volunteer?
I wanted to volunteer in a hospital where I’d be more than a number. After researching different hospitals in the area, I emailed the Manager of Volunteers at Crouse, and found her to be happy and appreciative of my desire to volunteer. The Crouse volunteer environment has been extremely welcoming.
What do you like best about your volunteer experience at Crouse?
I enjoy meeting and talking with the other volunteers. My position helping in transport services provides a very rewarding experience, and I love feeling useful to professionals. The free meals in the cafeteria are definitely a perk!
