While family, friends, neighbors and colleagues can provide support and encouragement, there’s nothing like being able to share with others who’ve been diagnosed with and treated for breast cancer. Empathy can go a long way.
That’s why Crouse Health is now offering an ongoing monthly breast cancer support group — so women who have gone through the breast cancer experience can interact while staying active and informed. Sessions often include topics recommended by the members of the Pink Therapy Breast Cancer Support Group, such as treatment, staying healthy and active, and participating in local events as a group. Guests or practitioners are sometimes a part of meetings that have included experts in massage therapy, acupuncture, reiki, tai chi, and yoga.
Please note, due to COVID-19, Pink Therapy is currently meeting via Zoom. To register, call 315-470-8053.
The group meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Unless otherwise noted or advised, meetings are held in the Marley Education Center, 765 Irving Ave., Room 219, conveniently located on University Hill, minutes off the East Adams St. exit of Route 81 north and south. Meetings are open to all breast cancer survivors, regardless of treatment location. Free parking for attendees is available in the Marley Education Center garage (garage is beneath the building and entrance is located at the corner of Irving Ave. and University Pl.)
