An estimated 14,730 New York women will develop new cases of breast cancer in 2012, according to the American Cancer Society. Learn how you can protect yourself during "Three Steps to Breast Health," a free community wellness forum, Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Natur-Tyme, 3160 Erie Blvd. E., DeWitt.
Join Crouse Breast Health Center Nurse Navigators Margaret Bottino, RN, CCBE, CBPN-IC and Mary Butler, RN, CCBE, CBPN-IC for their discussion about breast health maintenance, mammography and methods for proper breast self-examination.
Bottino and Butler have 66 years combined experience in breast health care, and have both achieved national certifications in breast health imaging, breast cancer and clinical breast examining.
“We provide dedicated, individualized comfort, compassion and emotional support to women having regularly scheduled mammograms and those requiring additional testing,” says Butler. “It’s really the heart of what we do for our patients.”
