The Sunny B Wound Care Center at Crouse Health offers a full spectrum of advanced wound care treatment and management. This includes:
- Comprehensive Wound Assessment and Treatment – Individualized care plans for chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure injuries, and surgical wounds.
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) – A proven therapy for wounds that fail to heal with conventional treatment, particularly effective for diabetic ulcers, radiation injuries, and compromised grafts or flaps.
- Advanced Modalities – Utilization of bioengineered tissue substitutes, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), and specialized dressings to accelerate healing.
- Multidisciplinary Care Team – Collaboration among physicians, nurses, and specialists in vascular health, diabetes management, and infectious disease to address underlying conditions that may delay healing.
- Patient Education and Prevention – Guidance on nutrition, lifestyle, and self-care strategies to prevent recurrence and promote long-term health.
