The Pomeroy College of Nursing, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, a high-quality, independent regulatory agency with rigorous educational standards, offers a two-year associate’s degree in applied science with a major in nursing. For more than 100 years, the college has been recognized for strong leadership in anticipating the ever-changing needs in the healthcare environment.

Our college ranks among the top nursing programs in New York State and nationwide, featuring classroom, clinical, laboratory and computer-assisted study within a state-of-the-art teaching environment. Transfer Credit Policy - Transfer credit may be awarded for college courses that were completed prior to enrollment at Pomeroy College of Nursing. The following criteria are used for evaluation of transfer credits:

  • Course was successfully completed with a grade of “C” or higher
  • Content is similar in content, rigor, and credit hours to those in the Pomeroy College of Nursing curriculum.
  • Science courses (Anatomy & Physiology; Microbiology) completed within five (5) years of acceptance to the Pomeroy College of Nursing. Science courses completed outside of the five year time frame must be repeated.

Transfer credits are not included in the computation of the cumulative GPA.
