Help Give Our Little Fighters a Fighting Chance
Our babies deserve the very best care. We need your help to give them a fighting chance. Your donation will be used to expand and renovate Crouse’s Baker Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where more than 1,000 critically ill and premature infants receive care each year.
The Crouse Health Foundation is raising $10 million to support a $31 million NICU expansion and renovation project. Your support is essential to reach our goal to build a state-of-the-art facility for little fighters and their families.
The Baker Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a special place where miracles occur every day. Over the past 40 years, Crouse has grown to become home to the area’s premier and highest level NICU, providing intensive care for newborns and families from a 14-county region of New York State.
Today’s NICU was built in 1999 and is not adequately configured to meet the needs to tomorrow’s critically ill infants and their families. Our goal is to increase, modernize and transform the unit.
The new NICU will provide more one-to-one care for our tiniest patients – our little fighters – as well as enhanced comfort and convenience for their families. The project will:
- Upgrade critical equipment and technology to improve life-saving capabilities
- Create an enhanced baby-and-family bonding atmosphere
- Add more bassinets to accommodate the regional need for highest-level NICU care
- Establish a new dedicated suite for milk preparation and Regional Milk Bank
