Pomeroy College of Nursing at Crouse Health Partners with Caring Gene

The Pomeroy College of Nursing has partnered with Caring Gene in the Career Pathways Training Program (CTP), which provides full coverage for tuition and books to those new to or advancing their healthcare careers.

Eligible residents of New York State and specific bordering states can access fully funded education—covering tuition, books, and fees—in 13 healthcare fields through a collaboration. This program, administered by the Iroquois Healthcare Association and funded by the New York State Department of Health, benefits both individuals entering healthcare and current professionals seeking career growth.

“The Pomeroy College of Nursing and Crouse Health are pleased to offer this opportunity to prospective students,” says Patty Morgan, dean at the Pomeroy College of Nursing. “This partnership aligns with our mission at the college: to prepare a clinically competent professional nurse for hospital and community practice.”

In return for financial support via CTP, students must complete program requirements by Spring 2027 and give three years back to a facility that has 30% Medicaid clients/patients it serves by 2031. The program also provides academic support, placement assistance, career preparation as well as personal support.
