Home » Crouse Connects » Spotlight on: Nursing Assistant Tabitha Love
For Tabitha Love, being one of the first interactions a patient has with our medical staff is so important to her. Tabbi, as she prefers to be called, is a nursing assistant who works in many different areas of our hospital as a member of the float pool.
Tabbi has been at Crouse for 15 years and while she loves all of the areas in which she works, Emergency Services is one of her favorites.
“I love being one of the first people a patient interacts with when they come into our hospital,” Tabbi says. “I love seeing the interactions and care from our medical staff as well.”
Tabbi says, “Caring for people is the work I’m meant to be doing.” One of her favorite parts of her job is seeing patients get better from the care they receive here. Her other favorite is orienting new nursing assistants.
She started working at Crouse after hearing from her sister, now a health unit coordinator on our 6 South Irving Unit, how wonderful the people are here. Her sister started as a nursing assistant as well. And now her nephew has joined them at Crouse; he is currently in his first semester at the Pomeroy College of Nursing.
Tabbi encourages those interested in pursuing a job as a nursing assistant, saying: “You’re going to touch so many lives…and for every life you touch, they touch yours as well.”
