Supported By Crouse, Shaped By Experience

At Crouse, workforce development isn’t just a program – it’s a promise. We’re committed to helping our employees discover their strengths, advance their skills, and grow into the careers they strive for. Crouse is proud to be a place where professionals can build meaningful pathways and come full circle in their journeys. Lindsay Reale, RN, is one such story.

Lindsay began her career at the Pomeroy College of Nursing where she found both her passion and direction. “I had a great experience at [the college], which is why I chose Crouse Hospital for my nursing career,” she shared.

While working toward her RN, Lindsay joined Crouse as a Student Nurse Assistant (SNA), gaining valuable experience across multiple specialty units. These early opportunities shaped her approach to nursing. “I learned a plethora of different clinical skills and techniques that later shaped how I would fully integrate my role as an RN,” she said. “Working across so many units also meant I got to know so many friendly faces, and that made the transition from SNA to RN feel like joining a larger team I already belonged to.”

Crouse’s commitment to career growth has supported Lindsay’s development every step of the way. She points to college reimbursement programs, shadowing initiatives and supportive leaders as key parts of her journey.

What keeps her motivated, you may ask? “My favorite part about working at Crouse is a genuine love for what I get to do every day,” she shared.

For anyone considering a career in nursing, Lindsay offered this advice: “If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.”
